Be Raw And Have More Energy
Anybody ever notice when you eat lighter throughout the day, you have more energy and mental clarity? Have you ever tried eating only raw foods for a day? De-bunk the common myth that breakfast should be the biggest meal of the day. While we’re at it, lets also get out of the pattern of eating so heavily at dinner time! You will be amazed at how good it feels.
As a child growing up, I was taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and, therefore, should be quite large. While it is true having the full feeling will help keep you focused and alert, you should try not to over-do it. To be raw also means to be light, and to feel light…not bloated, tired, and heavy!
By eating less at dinner-time, you will save your body the hassle of having to digest a ton of food at night time, when your body needs to be resting. Instead of bombarding your stomach with meat and potatoes, or worse, a weird combination of strangely mixed together foods, offer yourself a big salad followed by a light meal. If you find you need more heavy foods, keep the meat and potatoes, but incorporate the salad into your meal first.
Make sure to get your daily exercise to increase your energy. It doesn’t matter what you do as much as it matters that you are doing SOMETHING. You may find it more easy to keep up a daily activity if you change it up a bit. This will keep you interested as well asĀ also help strengthen your body due to the changing muscles involved. If you don’t like to change it up, set yourself up for something you enjoy doing every day, whether it be walking around the block, swimming, hiking, taking a bike ride, etc…
You will find it incredibly valuable in your quest to be raw and have more energy to incorporate these three basic everyday guidelines. Remember to keep it fun and enjoyable for yourself, yet at the same time challenging!
