Be Raw And Have A Green Smoothie:
Whether you are new to raw foods or have been enjoying the raw food lifestyle for years, at some point you will hear about the Green Smoothie. To be raw, one must supplement their diet with a great deal of leafy greens, in order to get sufficient vitamins and minerals. When I was just beginning to be raw, the green smoothie helped out incredibly for me in the transition process. You will find having a green smoothie everyday will give you great energy and stamina, focus and clarity, and will leave you feeling full and satisfied for quite a long time.
Typically, a green smoothie consists of leafy greens, some sort of fruit (to help with flavor, whether fresh or frozen), liquid (this can be nut milk, spring water, or fruit juice), and any other goodies or super foods you want to throw in (maca, cacao, spirulina, goji, flax,etc.) These ingredients can then be blended together to make your delicious smoothie. You can also use your leftover smoothie to freeze into popsicles or freeze to later use for ice cream!
To be raw takes quite a bit of stamina and willpower. One thing I have noticed on my raw food journey is having a green smoothie every day makes me feel great and also helps me to keep up the routine. Here are a few recipes I’ve come up with that taste great and are healthy and beneficial ,too.
Green Smoothie Recipe 1:
1 Bunch Kale
4 Frozen Bananas
1 TBSP Spirulina Powder
1 Ripe Avocado
*Blend together until smooth and GREEN! ENJOY!!!
Green Smoothie Recipe 2:
1 Bunch Spinach
Juice of 1 Lemon
2 Cups Strawberries
1 Peach
Agave To Sweeten
*Blend together until smooth and GREEN! You can also add cilantro or mint to garnish…ENJOY!!!
